Technical Bulletin - Safer Efficient Liner Lifting

Osborn's continuous drive to improve safety, quality and productivity have resulted in the introduction of new features to its range of jaw crusher liners. The designs use standard lifting equipment, not special lifting tools and have been thoroughly evaluated on site at several mines and quarries.

Orders roll in for tough, reliable Osborn Apron Feeders from as far afield as Spain

South African manufacturer Osborn has recently netted orders for 13 apron feeders, reflecting the burgeoning demand for these robust, hard-working machines at mines around Africa and as far afield as Spain.

Osborn’s healthy apron feeder order book includes exports to Ghana, the Democratic Republic of Congo and Spain, as well as three machines for one of the country’s largest open cast coal mines in the Lephalale area.

“Customers are increasingly opting for Osborn’s apron feeders, which combine competitive pricing with exceptional quality,” comments product development director Martin Botha.

New Managing Director for Osborn

Johan Goosen has been appointed managing director of Osborn Engineered Products SA.

Goosen joins Osborn from Atlas Copco, where he managed Drilling Solutions and, in his most recent role of regional business line manager, was responsible for Mining and Rock Excavation Services. During his time with the firm, Goosen exceeded financial targets despite the challenging market, and he made significant contributions to increasing the business’s market share and improving customer relations.

“Johan has a very good understanding of our industry and its challenges,” comments Richard Patek, group president of Astec Aggregate & Mining, of which Osborn is a subsidiary.
